NAPOLEON is a light bay horse, five years old, with plenty of bone and substance. His dam, Gipsy, is by Puddy's Ben Lomond, imported, Gipsy's dam was by tho iarfamed Young Hero. Oipjy's slock have been tho most successful prize-takers at the Palmerston and Waikouaiti Shows, Young Hero was by Lincolnshire Hero, imported to Tasmania by \V. E, G. Kcrmode, Esq. Hero's dairnvasby Old Sampson, winner of 21 lirst prizes. Young Hero's dam,' Blossom, was by the imported horse, Matchless. Young Hero gained ut number of prizes at tho various Shows in Otago. Napoleon's sire, JBannatjne's Ben Lomond was bred by Fleming and Hedley, and is by Young Vanquisher, imported, Young Vanquisher was bred by Peter Audcuon, Stranraer, Scotland, out of his celebrated mare, Sally, by Loch Fergus Champion; grandsire, Blair's Champion. Den Lomond's dam was by Maggie Louder, imported. Ben Lomond has gained a number of prizes at tho Blueskin, Falmerston and Waikouaiti Shows. NAPOLEON was once shown and gained first prize at the Palmcreion and Waihcmo Agricultural Association's Shorn.
