THE 'FRISCO MAIL SERVICE.
Further Negotiations, [By Telegraph.—Press Association,] Wellington, Friday. The Hon Wardhas informed the Post-master-General of New South Wales that New Zealand is paying the contractors for the 'Frisco mail service about £7,000 a year in addition to £6,000 for American and Atlantic transit and estimates that New South Wales is at present contributing at the rate of £2OOO per annum.only, and the other non-contractiug colonies proportionately. The colonies particularly interested are New South Wales and New Zoaland,' deriving m they do the greatest benefits irom the Bervice as New Zealand's total payments largely exceed those of New Wales, while the latter colony also obtains the advantage of being the terminal poet.
