The Shop Hows Aot.
(By TEtEOHAra-Press Association.) Wellington, Tuesday night, MrMackay, of the Labour Bureau, has been interviewing various shopkeepers in Wellington, with reference to the Shop Hours Act, and the general opinion is that it is unworkable in its present shape. Many (regret that the compulsory clause was not insisted on, Employers consider they oannot let employees off in batches, and a meeting is to be held during this week, at chtch it is expected that Wodnesday afternoon will be fixed as the genei al half-holiday; It is thought by some of the employers, that closing from 1 to G p.m on Saturdays would meet the Act, but the Law Officers of the Crcwn advise to the contrary,
