In li/lemoriam. [To the Editor W.D. Times.] Silt, —You will greatly oblige the pupils of St. Patrick's school, Mastertou, by publishing the following piece of poetry iu meuioriam of Mr O'Brien our Into schoolmaster who died October 13th, 1892:
Called away from earth to Heavon, Far removed from care and pain j Evory earthly tie is riven. Yet wo all may meet again. Sweet affection bound us to him; He was all that you could with, Kindly, thoughtful, true, and tender j Yea 'twas hard to part liko this I Oh I Who can forget his sweet face; His smiling bright, blue eye; His dear soul full of heavenly grace. And the mournful day he died '? His pupils they all will miss him In the fohool and on the grass; For he was the love of all of them The dear one of tho past. Yet although we loved him fondly, Jesus loved him best of all, Christ, who shed his blood to savo him. Took him trom temptation's thrall. Dear bereaved onos grieving sorely, Oh, be quite assured of this, God, who never wounds in anger.
In his wisdom ordereth, At thu golden sates he'll meet us. When our weary life is o'er. Where the pain of death can't touch us. Then we'll meet to part no more, By a pupil, A.O.
