Our sale at Stratford on Friday, the 14th inst., was a large one in point of entries of cattle, but was poorly attended with buyers and oven those present did not evinoe any eagerness to purchase, tho shortness of feed being the chief reason. Still despite these drawbacks, we sold a few lines under the hammer at the following prices 18 months to 2 year steers, £2 16s to £3 4s Gd; cows and heifers in calf £3 to £3l6s. We had a remarkably good sale at Manaia, on Wednesday, the 12th inßt,, a good deal more of intercat being displayed by buyers than has hitherto been the case, Our yards were fairly well filled with oattlo of a medium class, besides which we had about 1,000 sheep that had come in unexpectedly.
