Wellington, Monday, Owing to the heavy rain on Fridafl and Saturday several heavy land have occurred on the Government railway between the Upper Hutt and Cross' Creek, The line was blocked on Saturday night, and the down tram waa delayed for nearly two and a half hours. Yesterday several more slips took place, two of them being of a very serious nature, and as a consequence tho through traffic will be interrupted for several days, Tho heaviest Blips havo occurred near Kaitoke and on the Eimutaka, and there are three other minor slips, The nature of the damage is not yet known but it iB expected it will bo quite three days before the line is cleared. In tho meantime trains will run as far as Upper Hutt on the Wellington side and to Featherston from Eketahuna on the country side,
