EKETAHUMA ROAD BOARD.
Thfi usual monthly meeting of the Eketahuna Koad Board was held at the Board's office on Saturday last. Present-T, Parßons (chairman), T. Baylis, M. Neilson, W, B, Matheeon, F. Dowsett, H, Mowbray, and A, Anderson. »
A letter was received from J. Wilson, apologising for damage done to the Parkville road, and offering to repair it.—Accepted. It was resolved to write to the Department of Lands re road through Native lands,
The Clerk was instructed to write to Messrs Kilsby Bios giving them permission to fall bush on the Makikiln road.
A petition was read from house' holders complaining of the state ol the road in front of the school.— Received.
The Inspector's report oh- ft G Morgan's contract was Kail, The Board's Engineer was instruotedUo inspect the work and report on it at the next meeting. The balance sheet for 1891-92 \m read and adopted, A uutnber of applications for the position of surfaceman to the, Bpard, wero read. The Board went intocoramittee to .consider the matter. Ultimately it was decided to appoint W, Oruickskank to the post. A number of accounts wero passed for payment, and the Board then adjourned,
