I Rival Claims to Pamir Territory, Another Reuolt against the Ameer, (by electric telegraph), London, August 31, Tho Standard's St Petersburg correspondent telegraphs that no exchange of views has taken place between the Russian and British Ministers of Foreign Affairs reepecU ingtho Pamirs.
It is stated that Btissia claims tho territpiy occupied,by General Yanoff's expedition on the grounds tjjat it formerly belonged to the r ultra of Khqkand, and the latter js now pder l{ussip protection, China maintains that the territory belongs to Kasbgaria. Another report is current that Russia has assured Lord Roseberry, the Seoretary for Foreign Affairs, that she has no desire to trespass upon British interests, Calcutta, August 31. The population of Sarawak has broken out in revolt against the Ameer. The Ameer's troops have defeated tho Hazaras at Kamsin with heavy loss,
