Paris, 25th August. Intelligence is to baud that French warships are bombarding Whydah and other ports in Dahomey. Frenoh troops have left Porto Novo, and gone in the direction of Abomey, but they wait the arrival of reinforcements before making an attack on the King's stronghold. The French troops have occupied Takao, Dahomey, with but small loss, and the Dahomeyans have now evacuated the district,
