[UNITED PBEBS ASSOCIATION,] Calcutta, August 25, General Yanoff, in a report to the Ameer, complains (hat the Afghans refused to treat him amicably, but opened fire on his expedition. ''_ The Ameer is appealing for Enelisb aid againßt Russian intrusion, General Yanoff s expedition numbers 2000 men, with 12 guns, and a position haß been taken up atAlichur. Another Russian force is stationed at Kalawanj, on the bank of the river OXUB.
