During ono of the very severe storms that has been afflicted with lately, an unfortunate gentleman who was out in it, chanced to take shelter from one of the heaviest showers In a shed he wan passing at the time, The storm raged with auoh violence, that ho determined to moke himself til comfortable as circumstances would permit, until there were signs of improvement in the weather, su he drew his pipe from his pooket, settled himself in the warmost cornor of the shed, and smoked contentedlyaway, until he was awakened by hearing voicoa in cloao proximity to him, It was quite dark by this time, so that neither parties wero aware of the presence of the other. Tbey wero talking very earnestly and tho subject seemed to bo one of great moment to one of thorn at loast, far he was urgently recommending his friend to Mow his ndyice 'and example, which was not tonegloct hia health any longer, when be had a remedy within his reach that would work a perfect cure. Ho stated his own experience, how long ho had despaired ot finding relief, for ho had consulted scores of doctors, and tried innumerable medicines, all to no purposo, he still remained it martyr to indigestion and general falling off of health, He gradually grew so much worse, that ho felt "That life was not worth living," when one day a friond said to him, " Why not try Karana, ono of Mother Mary Joseph Aubert's remedies, for your complaint. It is highly recommended for it," He did so, and " Ah," ho said, " Howl bless the day that I did. It has mado a now man of me." Heenlarged atsuch length on the won* derful properties of the medicines, that the man who had been sleeping, was quite roußed, and had been an eager listener to all the conversation Hising up he made his presence known to tho other two, much to their surprise, who supposed they were the only occupants of this friendly shelter. Explaining to them that ho was in need of just such a medicine as lie had heard describad, he begged for further particulars of it, They were gladly given him, and immediately he reached the . nearest chemist's he procured a bottle of Karana, and he is now as loud in his praises of this wonderful remedy, as tho man who had been unwittingly the means of restoring him to perfect health, Take Karana, and you will find cut for yourselvos what an excellent Tonic it is, and now invaluable at all times and seasons.
A GENUINE SUCCESS. YICE-REGAL AND THESPIAN TESTIMONY, "THAT LITTLE COLD," T tho present time tho weather is moat changeable, and nearly everyone suffers from colds in the head or throat. These affections in their primary state aro never very hurtful to the constitution, but a neglected cold is one of tho worßt things that can over happen to a human being, It should certainly bo attended to immediately. Warraor clothing must be put on; and the patient must undergo a slight course of a medicine which will cure in tho early stages and not. allow the sufferer to become afflicted with thoßO most prevalent complaints—ASTHMA, OUNSUMPTION and BRONCHITIS. What a number of persons havo cnuso to regret a neglected simplo little cold, and if they had only thought it was goin? to turn out as it has done they would certainly have taken PROPER PRECAUTIONS. But still it is not too late and why? Bocause HATUHB which provides everything necessary to existence, in her bounty has given us herbs and vegetation amongst which is hidden the antidotes to sickness, and it only required the research of such a lady as MOTH EH AUBERT to discover the plants which yield tho articles of assimilation in curbing the ills brought on by a slight cold, '.'MAMJPA" Is tho registered name of MOTHER AUBERT'S COUGH, ASTHMA and CONSUMPTION REMEDY. It is a medicine which should be in every household, and testimony has been given by hundreds of persons of itß good effects. Notably MR WALTER BENTLEY and MISS MYRA REM BUS, whoso vocation brings them under thß notice of everybody " who runs and reads," would not have certified to the efficacy of "MARUPA" If it was not what it is made out to be. There are no mineral substances in its composition, almost for that reason alone it is not hurtful to the smallest child, but can be administered to the smallest with perfect safety. Mothers attend to that distressing cough of your little offspring, and for a bottle of "MARUPA,"
And have cause to rejoice that in future years your .children grow up with CHEEKS LIKE EOS KS, and not with PALLID LIPS because "THAT LITTLE CULD" was neglected in' [Stocked by T. ft. Mason, Mastorton ] IMS "mEMiN'S JOURNAL " (Saturday, June 4, 1892), Special attention is directed to the advertisement of tho Rev Mother Mary Joseph Aubert Remedies which is appearing in our columns for tho first time. Mr Orlando J. Kempthorno, who man. ages this business informs us chat the sale of these medicines in Now Zealand is somewhat wonderful, and ho has the greatest faith that they irill soon come into popularity in New South Walts. Mother Aubert has been at work in New Zealand for thirty years, and has always given her time free of all charge to per? 80DB of all donominatioiia, to whom her assistance could be of any avail in relieving thein of their several complaints, Archbishop Redwood, Bishop Grimes, and Lord Onslow certify to relief ob. tained by the use of these remedies, and such testimony is vory gratifying. Mr Walter Bently and Miss Myra Kembje havo also written adding their proof to tho many hundred testimonials received by tho proprietor, Some time since we re-printed a paragraph from our Now Zealand Catholic contemporary, in which it was deplored that Mother Aubert's remedies were not more widely kuown, and suggesting a more wholesale mode ot distributing them than prevailed, It would seem that the Rev Mother has followed the advice offered on that occasion, The Aubert Remedies are sold by Mb T, 6.
