Mr Cabman moved, That a Select Committee be appointed to enquire into And report as to tbe buildings, management and working of the Governmeni Printing Office and to make such suggestions as may appear desirable in the interests of the department and Colony; such oommittoo to ha?B power to call for persons and papers. The committee to consist of Mr Fisher, Mr Hogg, Mr Carucross, Mr W. Hutchison, Mr Tanner, Mr Sandford and the mover. OTAGO SCHOOL COMMISSIONERS EMPOWERING BILL. The Minister for Lands moved the second reading of the Bill, which is intended to empower the Otago Sohool Commissioners to enter into certain arrangements desirablo in tbe interests of settlement. The second reading was carried without debate, A NATIVE BILL Oil the motion of the Native Minister, tbo Boho Potao Investigation of Title Bill was read a second time on the voices. WELLINGTON FRUIT GROWING ASSOCIATION DILL, This Bill was discussed at some length and the debate ultimately adjourned.

SECOND BEADING. The second reading of tho North Island Main Trunk Railway Loan Application Act Amendment Bill waß carried on the voices.
