COHDESPmEUGE:
h Football Holiday. [To the Ediiob, Waibabapa Daily Times,] ! Sir, —Ou Friday Inst the blacksmiths and wheelwrights- of Eketabans were presented with a requisition asking them to close tbeir premises for a half-holiday on Saturday, August 20th, bo as to allow their employees to witness the football matub between Eketahuna and Woodville. The blacksmiths (four in number) allsigned the requisition, Three of them dosed at twelve, but tho fourth remained open in spite of the agreement made. Of course it was very unfair to the other blacksmiths, and will, no doubt, prevent them from signing for balfnolidays in the future. Hoping you will give this publicity in your columns,—l am, etc.,
Resident. Eketahuna, August 22nd.
