Sir,—You remember the old saying " Blood is thicker than water," The same can bo applied to the education differences at present going on here. A question was asked the Board some time baok concerning age, etc., wkiQh was promptly answered to the effect that the Act must be complied with, whioh was dflly entorced. Lately the satre thing oame up, when the teacher and parents tried to put down the Committee and the Aot, Of course the Committee referred the matter to the Board, and they now will not give any answer to the question. The sooial sJale is not evenly balanced. The first was a light weight and tho answer freoly given. This is the heavy one, which accounts for the hesitation. The 83rd olauso is supposed to mean that any child after filteen years old, if he has not been attending the one school, cannot bo admitted to such school; if the child 1 has been at school he con continue going as long as he likes. If that is the true meaning of it, the sooner it is I altered the bettor.—l am, etc., Parent. Taueru, August 22nd, 1892,
