Christchurod, Friday,

A man named Brown, employed for a number of years as a shunter at the Ohristchurch railway station, was killed this morning, It appears an engine was shunting a coal truck,and while running in front Brown caught his foot in acheok point and fell, the truck passing over him, killing him instantaneously, He was a married man with a family of five.
