Market Report for the Week,

Mambrton, August 19. The Now Zealand Loan mid Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, report on tho produce market for the past week as follows:Sheepskinß.—Consignments liondied by our Wellington house during the past week have ben up to the average number, and all lots have been placed at fair curreut rates. Half-bred skins have sold up to 6s; dry butchers up to 5s 3d each; country dry crossbreds half wool, 3jd lo 4d per lb; and three-quarter and full woolled up to 6d per lb. Tallow add Fat.—All lots reaching us at Wellington, Iwvo been readily disposed of, but without alteration in prices, London market remains unchanged. Oats.—The dem iiid still continues gond, and prices continue firm, Large quantities of tmod feed are beinu quilted at Wellington at from Is lid to 2s Id; the latter for short oats. Prices locally ere about the same, Maize,—We quote at 2s 8d ex fthip, Wellington. Fowl Wheat,-Not muoh doing, quantities on hand are large and recent quotations stdl hold; viz., 2s 7d and.2s 9d per bushel. Fmzen Meat,—The following is a cable from our London office, dated 12th inst,:—Tho market is quiet for frozen mutton. Canterbury is worth B|d per lb; Wellington is worth Bid per lb; Frozen Innab—market is firm at o}d per lb, Frozen Beef—Forequarters, 2jJ-d per lb; hindquarters, Bid per lb.
