FOOTBALL.
[BY DIOQEKEB.] The Masterton Club meets the fled Stars on the Park Oval on Saturday next. Although the match cannot affect the Cup, the Stars are confident that with ordinary luck they can "put down" the redoubtable Yellows.
The contest between the schoolboys of Wellington and Wairarapa takes place on the Masterton Park Oval at 11 a.m on Saturday. The visitors will be entertained nt dinner in the publio school after the match.
The scholars of the Feotherston school are dissatisfied that none of their number were included in the Wairarapa representative team.
Tho match between the Wellington and Wairarapa Junior Representatives takes place at Masterton on Saturday week.
" Jumbo" Walker, once. the pride of the Sydney Bugby field, who visited New Zealand witb the New South Wales football team a few years ago, is in a bad state of health, said to bo due to the smashings up he haß got on the field,
The Bush Eugby Union has not yet signified its intention of meeting the Junior Representatives of Wei lington on September 3rd,
