Auckland Trotting Club,
At a meeting ol the Auckland Trotling Club the annual report showed £562 to credit of the profit and loss account. The nett balance of the year's working was only £126, owing to extra expenses to which the Club was put during the season in connection with several unusual matters, viz,, the now notorious Brandy-Rufus case, sending representatives to Christphuroh, and law expenses, The total receipts for theyoar were £2856, Tho commit teo suggests that at least £I2OO be given away in stakes, at the summer meeting, the leading item to be fhe Auckland Trotting Cup, of 300sovs. In connection with this race they recommend that a substan tial prize be offered for any horse breaking the New Zealand record.
