Favoured with fine weather, the Cup match of tho above Club, fired at Messrs Lowes and lorns' sale yards on Saturday last, was very well attended, fifteen competitors tak ng part. Tho shooting generally m good) but owing to the position of the ground quite a number of birds fell out of bounds, and thereforo did not count in scoring. Tho Cup (presented by Mr J. M. The annual meeting of members was held at the conclusion of the match, at the Club Hotel, tbp attendance being exceptionally large. A special vote of tlmnks waa passed to the secretary (Mr E. H. Waddington) for the progress the olub had made under his able management. Votes of thanks were accorded to tho retiring officors and to Mr A, A, Blliins for the splendid lunch at which he had entertained the members, Mr E. M. D. Whatman offered a five guinea cup to be competed for at tho next Annual Meeting, Mr J, Breeds claimed tho privilege of offering a silver cup for the following year. Votes of thanks were unanimously accorded Messrs Whatman and Breeds. Messrs W. R, Bone and W. Speedy were proposed and accepted as member* of the Club. This being all the business the meeting olosed with a vote of thanks to Mr E, M. D. Whatman, whoocoupied the chair.
