LECTURE AT KURUPUNI.
Ppr Jfuruppl friends were last tveping afforded a real treat in the shape of a leeture by the Rev. J, Pvits in the Kumpuni Wesleyan schoolroom. The subject matter was entitled "Susannah Wesley," and
iuo lot-uuic, t,mcu uecupieu just an hour in delivery, was listened to with rapt attention throughout except when, hearty, .bpts of applause greeted the lecturer, which w'ero very numerous. The attendance was only fair, but we can assure those who were absent thattbey missed an intellectual treat, A folleptiop was taken up to lie devoted to the building fund'. Mrs Muller, Misses Prentice, Perry and '* Williams and Boagoy contributed Jtot vocal iiems which thus added to tho interest of the proceedings. A vote of thanks proposed by Mr Boagey and ,/isconded by Mr I Burton was 'llanimously carried. The chair was occupied by Mr C. E. Daniell.
