A large meeting held last night passed a resolution supporting Mr Joyce's Local Option Bill, and urging the Government to give edeot to the measure,'
Thames, August 2, A large and enthusiastic meeting was held to-night in support of Mr Joyce's Local Option Bill, and the following resolution was carried unanimously :—" That this meeting lavour of Mr Joyce's Local /Opin Bill, in which power is given tq the residents in each district to close all publio houses, if so desired, without compensation," The resolution is to bo forwarded to the Premier, Hon. A, J, Cadman, and Colonel Fraser,
