SUNDAY TRADING.
(Press Association,) Timaru, July 23. The Resident' Maqistralo was occupied all day with three charges of Sunday trading a?ainßt publicans. Id one case tbe defence is that the purchaser said lie was a traveller; in another (the sarao buyer in all cases) that the sale was by authorised persons, and contrary to the express instructions. In one tbe cook of the hotel got into the bar by using tho kitchen key. In another a lodger wbb oleaning out the bar, and was told to lock himself in and supply no oue. He served ut few drinks. The decision was reserved.
