Judgment was delivered .on Wpdpes.day morning in Ihp Fydeohajn licensing case Mr Justice Denpiston revjewed the whole case, pointing put that the matter to be decided was whether tbjf committee could be said to have dealt with the application in a strictly judicial manner. His Honour said that their chairman, who remained at the head of the Prohibition League, and, was editor of their journal, in alottortothe public journals rejoiced in tho consequences of tho election, one of which admittedly was the closing of all the licensed houses in the district, The chairman also at--1 tended as an op ponent the meeting called to sympathise with those whom be had judicially deprived of licenses, Affet reif erring to the affidavits', and the fact that the Courtis entitled to interfere when a committee acts uon-judicially, the judgr ment proceeded as follows H 1 Having to answer the questipn as to the action of the committee, I can answer in only one way.
