Date for the Meeting of Parliament, [united mess association.] London, July 18. The Marquis of Salisbury, after visiting Windsor, has decided to meet Parliament on 4th August. Sir 0. Hall, -Recorder of London, stands for Uolborn seat, vacated by the elevation of Mr Gainsford Bruce to a judgeship. Tho opponents of Home Rulo have polled 2,118,000 votes, and the Liberals and Irish members 2,375,000, Tho latest returns, with ten more members to come, give—- ; Conservatives ... 267 . Unionists 41 Gladstonian Liberals 272 Nationalists... ' ~. 68 Parnellites 8 The English members in favor of the preservation of tho Union outnumber those elected on the Home Rule ticket by 70. The Indian Princes have intimated their intention of sending £BB,OOO to Mr Dadabhai Naoroji, the Parsee, who was elected for Finsbury, for the purpose of erecting a memorial in honor ol his viotory, The Frenoh Press generally look upon Lord Salisbury's defeat with little regret, and hail Mr Gladstone's return with pleasure, in the belief that he is less inimical to France. The members of tho Cabinet describe Mr Gladstone's majority as not a solid one, and remind him that tho defection of 20 members will reduce it to nothing, A motion of No-confidence will be submitted upon the Addross-in-Reply.
