Funeral Reform.
[to the editor.] Sir,—Kindjy permit me to bring to the notice of your readers the object of the Funeral fieform Association of England, namely, to unite all, wherever English is spoken, in a threefold effort; (I). To promote the manifestation of the Christian priiiotplea of Ffith, Hope, and ljovej and thus deepen the faith in theconi'nuiiy of life after death; (2), To re-establikh tho Church's mode of burial indicated bv the words" earth to earth, ashes to a'hes, duat to dust"; and thus cause due respect to be shown to the dead , body, and proper cuncern for the welfare of the living; (3). To oaaxe the oooasinn "of a deuth to be regarded r a special opportunity for eroisiug B'mplicifcy, economy, and practical Christian syinuathy ; and thus render the funeral as little trying and as inexpensive as poasibleto the bereaved, I will seild the Society's papers to anyone desiring to see them, F.
