The number of cases of accident m 34 as against 31 in 1890-91, providing additional accommodatio at the Hospital has been before tli Trustees. This year it became evident tha the matter could no longer be post poned with due regard to the efScieno, of the Institution, and the Truster decided accordingly to make addition to the building, and to make oertai alterations that wero urgently calle for, The additions and alteration have now been nearly completed. They will cost about £225 un when they have been paid for, th credit balance at present at the dit posal of the Trustees will be absorber Under the circumstances subscribe! will understand that donations at moro than ever urgently wanted, an the Trustees take this opportunity c appealing to the supporters of tb institution to assist them in gettiti| The New Zealand Times, Evenin, Post, Evening Press, Waiiubap Daily Times and Wairarapa Star ar supplied for the use of the patient freeofoharge, and the Trustees hav Jo thank the proprietors of thesi journals. _ Various gifts have been made fron time to time by other friends, to whon the Trustees desire to express theii acknowledgements. During the past year Mr Josepl lornsand the Rev. W. E. Paigt resigned their seats on the Board. iwu genuemen nave oeen connected with the management of tin Hospital for many years, and both havobeenactirein promoting its welfare. Their resignations were received with much regret, Tho fiev, Father McKenna and Mr G, 8. W.Dalrymple were appointed to fill the vacant seats, and at the statutory meeting held in January last the same gentlemen were elected by the contributors. Mr J, (J. Boddington was re-elected Chairman for the current year. During the year 15 meetings of the Trustees have been held, the attendance being as under : J, 0, Boddington 15, J. B. Keith 13, B. P. Perry 9, G, 8, W. Dalryraple 7, Kev. W. E. Paige 6, W; H.Beetham 5, Eev, Father McKenna 4, Jos. lorns 3. The Trustees cannot concludo their report without referring to the high estimation in which they hold the professional services of Dr Hosking, the medical officer of the hospital. _ Credit is also due to Mr John Williams, the Custodian, and Mr William Sellar, the Secretary and Treasurer, lor the eicient discbarge of their respective dutirs, J.
