FATAL ACCIDENT.
Shocking Death of Thm Persons, [By Telegraph,—Press Association,] Westport, July 15. A sad accident occurred this afterno»n by which three lives were lost. JJ(£ W, Campbell and Mis Andrew McClusky, sisters, went out for a drivu in a trap, accompanied by two cbil« dren of the latter, a boy aged four and a girl aged two. They went along until they reached the Buller overflow bridge, which is not railed. While crossing the bridge the horse, trap and occupants fell off it into ten feet of water. Mrs McClusky clutched a pile of the bridge and screamed forhelp.and saw ber sister sink, A man coining along the road rescued Mrs MoClusky. The body of the younger child was found floating on the top of the water. The bodies of Mrs Campbell and the elder child were dragged for and recovered later on and brought to town. The horse was drowned, Mrs McClusky is prostrated by the shock. Asububton, July 15, John Boyle a farmer, was crushed yesterday between a dray and a gatepost. He died in a fi'W minutes.
