Meeting of Members.

A general meeting of members oL the North'Wairarapa Gun Club was* heH yesterday afternoon at the Olub Hotel, Masterton. Considerable discussion took place over the past and future matches, it being 6nally resolved to obtain a legal opinion from Mr Gawith re accidents caused or to be caused by the Bhooting. It was resolved that Messrs'J. 0. Walker,- M. Meredith and E. H. Waddington be appointed permanent handicappers to the Club, and that the Seoretary be authorised to obtain 250 birds as early as posaible. Also, that the oup presented by Mr Meredith and the trophy presented by Mr A. Henderson bo fired for as soon, as sufficient birda are forthefflfng, and that an open matoh of ten-birds be_ fired on the same date,'Beven birds being the number for the cup.. A vote of thanks was passed to Mesara Meredith and Henderson for their gifts. It t was decided that-at all future matches the'side of the trap nexfc ; the shootis't bo, covered so as to bide the birds. • In was resolved- that a sparrow match. be n fixed for Nearly date,,the Seoretary hating. arranged with Mr.-Woodhatn to supply sparrows.
