Monthly Meeting. The monthly meeting of the Mftsterton Hospital Trastees was hold in the Council Chambers yesterday, there being present Messrs J. 0. Boddington (Chairman), J. B. Keith, W.H. Beetham, a.B.W.Dalryinple, and fiev. J, McKenna, MINUTES./ The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. APOLOGY FOR ABSENCE, Mrß. P, Perry apologised for being unable to attend on account of indisposition.CREDIT BALANCE, The Treasurer reported a credit I balance at the bank of £92 6b 9d. I . CORRESPONDENCE. From Mr 0. T. Natusch, Architect, asking if the Trustees would onre to have a portion of the hospital building match-lined, and reporting upon the progress of the additions.—Referred to thesub-coramittte.

From Dr Hosking, suggesting that a set of post mortem instruments be procured. The cost would be £6 6s. —Mr Dalrymple did not see why the Trustees should procure post mortem instruments. The hospital was merely for ourative purposes,—Mr Beetham thought postmortems might be in the interests of sciencii.—The Chairman favoured th« procuring of the instruments.—After some discussion it was resolved on the motion of Mr Beetham to purchase the instruments required, From Mr James Muir, offering to make an approved drying machine for tho Bum of J34.—The matter was rex ferred to tho sub-committee for con« sideratioii,

DIABY. The Hospital diary for the month was read. ACCOUNTS, The following accounts were passed for payment:—H.Jones,£l3sljd; W. Perry, £3l2s 6|d; Chamberlain Bros,, £llss; Mrs Cole, 4a 6d;R. G, Williams, 19s; K. F. Temple and Co., £G Is 5,11 T. G. Mas„n, £ll 10s; Wairampa Farmers' Co-Opera-tive Association, £l lßs sd, PATIENTS. The Custodian reported that five male patients had been admitted during the month, four discharged, and six remained in the institution, BALANOE-SHEET. ' The Secretary reported that tile balance-sheet had been audited by the Government Auditor, ■, The Chairman stated that the Auditor had wailed upon him after auditing the accounts and complimented Mr Sellar upon the way the books had been kept, It was resolved to bold a special meeting on Tuesday next to receive the report and balance-sheet, the Chairman and Messrs Keith and Dalrymple being appointed, a Committee to prepare the report, OUTSIDE PATIENTS. .

Mr Beetbam stated that he had been asked by Mr Hercock, of Carter.' ton, whether there would be any possibility of procuring the admission to the hospital of a young man at Carterton.

The Chairman pointed out that Carterton was in the Greytown Hospital district. VISITING MEMBER. The Sev.J. M'Kenna was appointed visiting member for the month, and the Trustees then went into committee to consider patients' accounts
