ALFREDTON NOTES.
(Fromcmr om Correspondtnl.) Alfredton, July 11. A concert is to be held here on Tuesday, the 12th, any surplus to be devoted to school funds, firewood, etc. Some of the settlers are endeavour' ing to get sufficient funds to purchase a piano for public use, and promises of about £2O haye already been made, We have been having a lot of cold and wet weather of late, and feed is, in consequent, rather short. The roads are exceptionally good, owing (o the effects of the restriction of traic on the main road, The new metal seems to be settling fairly well,
