CONCERT AT GREYTOWN.
Presbyterian Ghurch, The fifth of a series of fortnightly fcopncerts in aid oftheGreytown PresWylerian Church Building Fund wra held in the Greytown Forefltore' Hall last evening, at which '.herewßß-a fairiy large attendance. The weather was very wet and rough, which lupt a good number away. A Masterton contingent of performers, howevor, braved the elements and lent valuable assistance, although they had to drive through the floods across the road . near Qreytown, The members of the Carterton Private String Band also deserve mention for driving through the pouring rain to aesist, in so worthy an object. The concert, in the able bunds of Mr B. 0. Black, was a decided success, and one of the best yet held. The Rev. C. Murray occupied the chair, The following was the programme, every item being rendered in a very praise-worthy manner :—lntroduction and Marcia, Carterton Private String Bind, Misses Parker (2) McKenzie (2) and Messrs Parker and McKenzie (encored); song, "Love'e Golden Dream," Miss A. Nation; duet, tppavid and Goliath," Messrs Ralph and Bosgey; Bong, " Within a Mile," Mrs Mueller (encored) ; song, " The Gauntlet," Mr Boagey; part song, "Eow Boatman, row," Mrs Mueller and Miss Prentice, and Messrs Boigey and Ralph ; song, "The Shadow Man," Mr R, Gant; selection, " The Retreat," Carterton Private Siring Band (encored) ; song, "The old turnkey," Mr Ealph; sons, "The cow is in the corn," Mrs Mueller (encored) ; quartette," Whero art thou,, beam of light 1" Mrs Mueller and Miss Prentice and Messrs Boagey and Ralph (encored); concluding with a Tempt the National Anthem. Miss Williams presided at the piano in all the Masterton items, and in Mr R, GantVsMg. -■■•■••
