CORRESPONDENCE.
[to the editor.] Sir,—l was surprised on reading to-day's paper, to see a local to the effect that a petition was in oiroulation in Mauriceville to have the Post Office rerdoved to the Railway Station. I have not seen this petition, and trust that I may not. The Post Office is in the Best of hands where it is, and I am sure the Mauriceville East people have no reason to complain of the present post office arrangements. I hope they will show their appreciation of the present postmaster's obliging services by refusing to sign such a petition if presented to them, and not give our present "well-known" public agitators more scope to air their imaginary wrongs. Thanking you in anticipation.—l am, etc, G, F.Day, Mauriceville East, July Bth.
