MARKET REPORT FOR WE WEEK.

Masterton, July 9, 1892. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, report on the produce markets for the past week as follows Wool—Our London manager cables us under date stb inst. regarding the London sales now in progress is follows:—Sinre date of o;ir last cablegram the wool mnrKet is unchanged except medium to good greasy crossbred, the market for which is slightly weaker. The sale programme Ims been curtailed four days, to finish sth fjly. There is moderate competition i French account now. Tlio total quantity catalogued do date is 250,000 bales, of which 22,000 bales have been withdrawn. Sheepskins. -Tho demand at Wellington during the week has been very brisk, and all lots brought forward met with ready sale. We quote green crossbreds, 4s to 6s 4d; country skins, 3d to per pound. Tallow k Fat.—Notwithstanding the unfavourable reports of the Home markets, all consignments reaching ub for local consumption are quickly snapped up at the following figures: laferior to good, 10s to 20s; rough fat, 12s to 13s per cwt, Hides.—Quotations remain without alteration. Our Wellington House has disposed of large quantities during the week at late rates, Chaff—Last week's quotation remains without alteration, viz., up to £8 10s for a good clean sample. Oatb—Owing to the rough weather

retarding deliveries, and keen demand |fb the southern markets, this cereal has advanced in price. At Wellington we hare placed some large parcels during the week at advanced rates. We quote Is lid to 2s Id for feed descriptions ; prime seed 2s fid to 2s Gd. Wheat—There is Bomowliat more enquiry for good whole fowl wheal, although prices show no alteration, viz 2s Od to Bs. Bump—During the week there has been no lusiness of any consequence pacing. The situation in the London and American markets shows no improvement, und quotations are, il anything, somewhat lower. Fmen Mew—Our London manager cables as follows: —Mutton and laoib lamb markets weaker, and pricees have declined per lb since kit report, Hew Zealand betif— There in rather better demand, but quotations are unchanged since last telegram,
