[By Diogenes,] The injury sustained by R. Gray in last Snlurday'a match is not as scrioun as was at first stated, The finger is not broken, but sprained. It is hoped that the gallant " Rhody " will be able to play for bis team again this year, I understand that Jeffries, the Woodville forward, who is now in the local branch of tho Bank nf New Zealand, intends throwing in his lot with the Masiorton Club. Joe Morris, who was at one time a prominent forward player in the Red Star Club, and Who has been working in the South Island for about twelve months., returned to Master'jii yesterday, He Willi I am informed, play for the ''Reds" during the remainder of the Beasoo, Tho Wanganui papers state that tho Taranaki team has delayed its proposed Southern tour for a few weeks, No Senior Cup matches will he playod in the Wairarupa next Saturday. A comhintd prnotico match will instead be played at Carterton.
