UPPER TAUERU ROAD BOARD.
The ordinary meeting was held on July 2nd, 1892, Present-Toe Chairman and Messrs Macßae, Miller aud Rutherfurd, The minutes of the previous mooting were read and confirmed, CORRESPONDENCE, From Dr. W, H, Hosking re section 115, Block VlL.Kopuarangn; from Messrs Percy Bros,, re rates; from Commissioners of Taxes re Valuation 801 l for the district; from Mr H. J, Dagg re rates; from Agricultural Department re destruction of small birds; from Mr T. P, Girdwuod re rates; from Commissioner of Taxes re payment of subsidy under the Local Bodies Finance and Powers Act, 1885, and section 8 of the Appropriation Act, 1891; from Mr J. P. Perry, asking for leave of absenco owing to illness; from Mr J. Wingato, enclosing cheque for rates, and requesting tho roadman to be sent to complete the repair to his track. RESOLVED. That the roadman go to Mr Wingate's and complete the repairs to the track as soon as the weather is a little more settled. That the roadman put in the culverts on Mr Rutherford's track as soon as Mr Rutherfurd has tho timber placed on the track where required for his use. That tho roadman be instruoted to make the sledge track, to Messrs McKay and Wakelin's as soon as the work now in hand will permit, _ That notice be given of tho intention of the Board at their next ordinmy meeting to strike a genoral rate of | of a penny in the £on all rateable property in the district. That 1000 feet of heart of totara be ordered for culverts, ACCOUNTS, Accounts amounting to £2B 6s 8d were passed for payment
