VOLUNTEERING.

Featherston-Ka'miwai ut, Greytown.

A match was fired between the Fea-tbcrston-Kaiwaiwai and Grey town Rifle Clubs at thePapawai (Grey town) range yesterday, with Martini-Henri rifles, The ranges were 200,300 and 500 yards, five shots at each. The latter team won by 8G points, they securing 529 points and the others 493. For Groytown E, R. L, Kutherfurd and for Featherston-Kaiwaiwai W. Benton shot well, both seouring 6*l out of the possible 75 at the three ranges. The weather was comparatively fine, but the ground was very muddy, from the preceding night's heavy rain. A splendid luncheon was provided by the Groytown Club, and a very enjoyable day was spent, the firing lasting from about ten o'clock in the morning until dark.
