LAND BOARD.

The monthly meeting of the Wellington Land Board was begun 011 Thursday afternoon, Present Messrs J. H, Baker, Commissioner (in the chair); W. W. M'Cardle, T, W. Fisher, W. A. Fitzherhert and A, W, Hogg, M.H.R; An application by Mr A, Burling for section 21, block 12, Puketoi, was deferred. Jt was decided to approve the titles of the following, provided the conditions of the Act were complied withW, Twentyman, J, Pimm and L. Mattson. Consideration of an application by Messrs T, and W. Gilbert to obtain a title to section IG, block 7, Mangahao, was deferred. Mr Tosswill, solicitor, waited on the Board and asked that a title to Messrs Baliburton for section 50, block 8, Makuri, should be issued st once, This was agreed to. It was also decided to issue a title to Mr 11. jjjarke for seotion 78, block G, Man'sihao. An application to transfer section 113, block 1, Mangaone, to Mr Burmeister, was deferred, in order that the applicant might be informed of the report of the Rangor. An application from Mr W. Fitzsimmons to be allowed to transfer section 28, block 8, Mangahao, to Mrs O'Neill, was referred to the Government. Applications, by the following persons to transfer were granted: —Mr H. Munro to Mr 6, Munro; Mr N, W. Albrechtser 10 Mr A. Oliver; Mr J. M'Cardle to T. Murphy; Mr J. C. Anderson to Mr L. M. Monckton; Mr R. W. Halse to Mr W, A. Avery; Mr J. Howie to Mr G. Martin; Messrs Creen and Keane to Mr A. M'Kenzie; Mr G. Fraser to Mr J. Johnston; Mr J. 0, Jarman to Mr J. W. Emmett; Mr M. Bourke to Mr E, Pierard j Mr W, Gardner to Mr 6. H. Hunt; Mr J. Hollis to Messrs Healy and Johnson; Mr J. O'Leary to Mr J, Dempsey; Messrs Cunnabell and Sharp to Mr J. Proude; Mr J. M'Kerry to fjfrt R. Martin. It was resolved to approve of the transfer of section 1, block 8, Mangaone, to Mr T, A. Fall, as soon as improvements have been made, The Board approved of applications to capitalise from the following:— Messts \V. R. Waldin, T, Baylis, k. Falkner, E. Falkner, T, P. Girdwood, J. Miller, W, Morrison, J. Prebensen, C, Ebbett, E. Hall, N. Norrell, T. and W. Gilbert, G. Martin, M. Martin, A. Morgan, J, Gould, E. Cossey, E. J, Chamberlain, T, R. Chamberlain, A. C. Jensen, J. O'Brien, J. Jeffiies.

Kebbell 10 ' be given ihe right of grazing on the Crown lands on the north-west side of tbeEimutakn, Main roud, provided they destroy the rabbits thereon, It was resolved to invite tenders for a 12 months' lease of the area, providing that the lessee destroys the rabbits thereon, The Survoyor-General wrote stating tt it was not considered advisable group the unsold sections in the Tutaekara Village Settlement at present, and consideration of tho matter was deferred until next meeting. Mr JR. 0, Wilson applied to bo allowed exemption from residence on Beotion 7, Block X., Makuri, until the Upper Makuri Valley road is formed,as he is residing on the adjoining section. It was resolved to grant exemption from residenco for two years from date of selection. Mr J. Vile applied under Section 148, Land Act 1885, to bo allowed to reside on Section 71, Block VI., Mangahao, instead of upon his perpetual lease. Section 79, Block VI., Mangahao, as the two sections adjoin each other, and lie has leased tho former from the owner. Agreed to- . , It was resolved to approve of the issue of declarations to be made by members of Farm Homestead Associations who are desirous of transferring their interests in the same prior to ttment of sections. The selector irpetual leaso, section 210, Block XII, Mangaone, applied to be allowed to surrender tho same, lie being unable to pay rental.—Approved. „ The Board resolved to approve of tho issue of a now license to Mr J. T. Martin lor Beotion 16, Block 11., Mangaone, on payment of the usual fee of 10s 6d; to approve of the issue of title to Mr W. P. Barraud of Section 18, &c,, Block 11,, Kopuaranga,when rangers report that improvements hpd been effected; to cancel the interest of selector of leaso of Sections 211 and 144, Block YIIi:, Kopurangaj'th'at t]ie Board do'not reconsider thp' cancellation oflirJ. Saunders'interest in Beotion 2, Block 1., Puketoi.
