FIRE AT WESTPORT.
Hotel and Saluation Barracks Destroyed. [By Tclegrapli.—Press Association.] Westfort, Friday, A fire broke out at half-past four o'clock tliis morning in the fruiterer's shop next door to the Victoria Hold, lower Palcuerston-street, leased by Mrs Franks, which destroyed also the hotel on J the Salvation ArmyEiir4||aoks. The other buildings in the vicinity were scorched, as also was Fleming's drapers shop opposite. The efforts of people with buckets and with the hand fire engine prevented spread to the other buildings in tho block, The hotol was insured for £SOO in tho Norwich Union office, and for £2OO in the Commercial Union, Other insurances unknown,
