MASTERTON ROAD BOARD.

Jhe Monthly Meeting. The monthly meeting of the Masterton Road Board was held on Saturday last, there being present Mesßrs W. H. The Engineer was instructed to re- ' port on a complaint of Mr King that the water was lodging in front of his gate in South Road, Mr Walsh made application that a portion of his contract on the Te Mara-Kiriwbakapapa road bo allowed to stand over till the spring,—lt was resolved that Mr Walsh be informed that the Board will consent to his application provided he makes a passable cart track to connect the formation on each side of the river In the meantime, and that in no case shall he (Walsh) infringe the condition made by Mr H, Campbell as to not removing any material above a certain stump indicated by him on Warner frontage, and that he will hare I to bear tho cost of inspection after the \ month's extension already given, An application for a monih's extrusion of time for the completion of his contract was granted Mr Pi Muloahy, the cost of inspection to be charged against the contractor, The consideration of applications ""•' from Messrs Deal and Wadham for the appropriation of the balance of the Fernridge road loan, was postponed till next meeting, ; ' [ The name of Mrs Blatchford was ' inserted on the roll, on tho application of Mr Blatchford, The Department of Agriculture ■ forwarded a copy of the Bmall Birds Nuisance Act and requested the Board to take steps to put it into force,—lt was resolved to await the report of the < Inspector before taking action.
