Licenses in the King Country, The following letter has been received from Mr A, W. Hogg, M.H.k,, and a copy of it has reached us with a request for its publication: [copy.] General Assembly, Wellington, 24th June, 1892, Dear Mr Holdaway, On receipt of your letter enclosing resolution on the subject of the proclamation of a Licensing District in the King Country, I waited upon the Premier and had a most satisfactory intorview, He explained the whole circumstancea.expressed his opinion that the proclamation must be revoked, and stated that the matter was to be considered by the. Cabinet tomorrow, He has retained your letter to myself, as well as the resolution, so that they may be used to influence the decision arrived at. This I have reason to confidently believe will be in ftecordance with your wishes* When ltjeeyoul will have much pleasure in furnishing you with fuller details of our interview, Yours very truly, (signed) A, W.
