PROHIBITION IN DUNEDIN.
(Preaß Aesooiation.) Dunedin, June 20. At the adjourned meeting of the Maori Hill Licensing Committee, it was finally resolved to refuse a license to the only hotel in the district* The petition against granting the license was signed by 22 residents—lß women and nine men—ofwlioin B'even sere ratepayers; while the petition in favour of the license being granted was signed by 88 persons, of whom 63 are ratepayers.
