A Bad drowning accident occurred here on Saturday afternoon, by which Charles Fenny, aged sixteen, a son of the Rev, G, Penny, of the Methodist Church, lost his life whilst crossing the Manawatu river, which was in flood, Mr Foster, a Mangahao settler, •was nearly drowned in trying to save him,
