MASTERTON-FRIDAY. (Before Colonel Roberts, R.M.) WHKEL»XIBE BV LAW, John Goode pleaded guilty to having created a breach of the Wheel Tire by-law of tho Wairarapa North County Council by driving a two horde dray with wheel tires less than three inches in length on tho Tinui ' j»oad. The defendant was fined Is Tand 7s costs. A driver for Mr John Heesey was fined Is and 0s costs for a similar offence. Arthur Harford, for driving three horses in a coach with tires of less than statutory width on the MsstertonWaimata road, was fined on two separate informations the Bum of £l, with Court costs 18s and witnesses expenses 28s, Robert McGuire, pleading guilty to having driven a dray with tires less than the statutory ..width on tho Te Ore Ore-Bidelord road was fined Is and 0s coats. A FAMILY DISPUTE. Oowie v Byrne. This was a caße in which Robert Cowie made application that his son-in-law, George Byrne, be bound over to keep the peace ou account of his threatening behaviour. MrPownall appeared for the proseand Mr Bnnny for the defendant. The case arose from the defendant having entered tho house of the prosecutor, whore his wifo was living, and made use of cortain language alleged to be threatening. The prosecutor stated that bis daughter had married the defendant after being treated in the Dunedin hospital by nine doctors. She bad been married on the recommendation of the doctors, but since then his daughter .was dying daily,and had left her husband because she did not care for him, The defendant wont to witness' houße end wanted to. onter, and being ordered off the place used threatening language, (Left Sitting).
