Bhunnebton, Thursday. Mr Guinness addressed his Brunnerton constituents last night, There was a large house and he was cordially greeted. He treated the action of the Government since taking office, of Acts passed, and Bills lost. Speaking on
the Land Tax hp said that he disagreed with the Taxation of improve-
ments. He spoke on the necessity for . JMhe local Government • Bill. The wag eaten up by the many little bodies, .He thought the members of the Upper House should be elected for three years only, Ho. advocated the oiler of the Midland Railway Company being seriously considered, and the resumption of land grunts, Heepoko for two hours, and received a unanimous vote of confidence. A vote of confidence in the Ministry was also passed.
