Band Ball at Greytown.
The annual plain and fancy' dress ball of the Greytown Private Band wag held in the Pake Theatre laßt night, at which about fifty cost's were present, us well as a large imfim ber of onlookers in the gallery. Un« fortunately the weather was very unfavourable, which prevented many from a distance attending Messrs J, Maguire, H, Walden, T, Fisher and 0, Amos acted as M.C'fl and carried out their duties very creditably. The ball was tastefully decorated withevcr greoas, the - band instruments being hung from,the gallery, The music was supplied by the Greytown String Band, the first polka and two first ex. trats being'played by the braea band, Mr A, Bunny played the last two em tras. Ah excellent supper was provided by tMe ladies, ahda splendidly, arranged programme was gone through. The whole affair went off in a highly satisfactory manner, re« fleeting great credit oa the manage" ment,
