The monthly meeting of the North Wairarapa, Benevolent Sooiety-rv/aB held in the Masterton Institute this (Thursday) moniing, thero> being present Messrs B. M. Galloway (Ohair* man), J. Stuckey, W. Perry, 'and O.Gapper. The minutes of the previous meet* ing were read and confirmed. r -[ . '}'■■'..; '..raiism. U ::■:,. \% ' The TreaHurer reported that he had jreoeived the sum of L4516s 8d ! only from the United District Charitable Aid Board this jear, There .credit balance in the Bank of £3isMs but a number of accounts wereowingT The; United Board wrote, stating that as it had' not received the usual contribution from the local bodies it oould not assist the Society, ■ ■' On the motion of Mr Stuckey" it waß decided that the' United' District Boarcl be written to and adyised : ,that it wan impossible for the Society" to 'administer relief without further assistance. ~; ~ The Treasurer' stated that it would not be necessary to apply for any further adyanoe, as he held about M in petty cash, ■ ;
