A meeting of the Works and Pinahce Committees of the Maeterton Borough Council was held last even* ing, their being present Ors Heron, Gapper, Mutrie, E, E, Chamberlain and Hcssey. '; The Overseer reported having completed repairs in Bannister Street. He had attended to the repairs of r Renall Street, using the broken metal takenoff the acclimatization paddocks. Lincoln Road had been repaired, and Hall street was now receiving a coat of metal. Queen Street had been eleaned, together with tho watertables in Bussell, Chapel, Bannister' and Hall Streets, He would recom- 1 mend that Queen Street be first: repaired; that tho broken metal depositad in Benall Street and that -Irittg in McKenzie'spit be usedfor melalffii Queen Street; that the gravel pit oil' River Koad be fenced, as someone had been removing the gravel; that a water table be constructed on Bonn- ; dary Road; that' l West Bush' Koa'il and Railway Road be repaired, " " * The report was adopted.
