Considering tho extremely long hours the Curator of the Maetertou Fish Funds has to work at this time of tho year, the Acclimatization Society has decided to close their grounds on Sundays to allow a few hours rest on that day. Undor existing arrangements tho Curator has vory long hours duriug the week, and on Sundays theroaro also several hours of neoessary work to bo done. Then visitors coming in he has to be on the gui nine thereat of the day, for it,is quite occurrence for some mischievous and thoughtless person to interfere with things on the grounds in such a nay that serious loss has been caused, and a lot of time and labor have been spent in repairing damage done. This having to be'guarded against gives the Curator an anxious and busy time every Sunday, It is quite impossible that any human body can long stand the strain of continuous and Unremitting work for seven days a week, apart from the anxiety which is attached to the duties, and Mr Ayeon will not only appreciate the Society's consideration, but by increased Btrength be able to do better justice to their work during the week, As will bo seen by advertisement, the public will be admitted to the grounds as usual every week day afternoon. The following conversation was overheard in the street the other day, but for obvious reasons we shall omit, the name of one of the parties; the other was the well known draper, Mr h.
