HOWARD'S DIGGING PLOUGH.

A Public Trial,

i An exhibition trial of Howard's i digging ploughs, -which are now f largely 'in u3e in the Colony, was 1 • made at the farm of Mr A. A. Elkins, . Masterton, to-day. A largo number of settlers were present, who displayed ' great interest in the exhibition, wbjeh 1 was made under the supervisioifflpf '. B. ; Buick, of the Opaki, did their work I well, The principal parts of the i Howard' digging plough are the ; patent metal mould boards and re- : veraible share points, The mould 1 boards are chilled three parts through and soft at the back, having a face : like glass steel, ordinary boards being 1 found, useless;,-Ten yeare' ' careful• experi'meptipglj'as produced this board ; which will;: clean in any land, The skim coulters consist of malleable frames 'and patent metal mouldboards and shares; they completely bury "all rubbish. .
