Address to the New Curate, The following is a copy of tbe address presented to the Hev. T B, Mac Lean at Greytown on Friday piglit; ToTlie Rev. T, B, MacLeau, Curate of Greytown North Bey. and Dear Sir,-We the Churchwardens and Vestry of St, litko's Church feel great pleasure in ofli'fing you, on behalf of the Parishioners generally, some expression of the hearty welcome whioh we desire to extend 10 yourself, to Mrs Mas Lean and your family: We have heard much of your earnest labours in the parish which you have lately left, and we rejoice to think that the gifts and experience which made you the valued Pastor and friend oi the Parishioners of Greymouth and brunner will—we trust-for many yearß to come, be devoted to the work of the Churoh in this Parochial District. We are sensible of the magnitude of the task which awaits the 01ergy : Winn who undertakes the spiritual charge of this large district, and 61J tbe great physical toil involved in the visitation of so many centres, Some disappointments doubtless await you in your work amongst us, but we venture to hope that these may be more than compensated for by many evidences of the manifestly, lion of tbe Spirit of Uod to His Church, . ■You haye already forcibly pointed out to ils, that it is our duty, and wo tioßt to 'be enabled to show you that tfekveaW the will, to unite with
you, tis instruments in God's bands, for the establishment of His Church, We hope then, thai; by the blessing of God resting upon your efforts, you may lead us all to feel an ever deeponing interest in Hoavenly things, and that while you are thus encagod in promoting the glory of God, and the extension of His Kingdom amongst us, your own life here may bo happy, that your friendships may bo many, and that wn may long stand to oaah other in the relation of pastor and people, Signed on behalf ofthe Parishioners, by tho Clergyman's Wardens, by the Parishioner's Warden, and by the Vestrymen of St. Luke's, Greytown North
